TUMWATER CHAPEL UPDATE: SUNDAY JANUARY 01.10. 2016 Revelation Twelve VERSE 10 (NKJV) - PASTOR CECIL A. THOMPSON

We will be discussing Revelation eleven beginning with verse TEN. We will be using the questions for each section as a guide for discussion and study.

TUMWATER CHAPEL UPDATE:
SUNDAY JANUARY 01.10.2016 Revelation Twelve (NKJV) -
PASTOR CECIL A. THOMPSON
Tumwater Chapel of Grace. Meets each Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
Services are held at  5725 Littlerock Rd. S.W., Tumwater, Washington

THE SCRIPTURE PORTIONS AND DISCUSSION QUESTIONS DO NOT NECESSARILY APPLY TO EACH WEEK’S SERVICE. THEY ARE PRESENTED FOR PREPARATION TO ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO DIRECT OUR HEARTS AND MINDS TO SEE WHAT THE LORD WANTS TO SHOW US FROM HIS WORD. IF IT TAKES SEVERAL WEEKS TO COVER ONE VERSE...SO BE IT. IT IS FAR BETTER TO MOVE WITH THE SPIRIT RATHER THAN TRYING TO GET THE SPIRIT TO FOLLOW US.

Revelation Twelve (NKJV)
Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
  1. What appeared in heaven?
  2. How was the woman clothed?
  3. What was her condition?
  4. Did she suffer in silence?
  5. Who do you think this woman is?
  6. (Read Isaiah 26:17-18; 66:7-8; Micah 4:10; 5:3)  Does that give meaning?

And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
  1. What other sign appeared in heaven?
  2. Describe the dragon. Who is he?
  3. What % of the angels were swept away from heaven with Satan?
  4. If the Woman giving birth is Israel, why does Satan want to devour her child?
  5. Who is the child, as described in verse 5?
  6. Where did the woman flee to escape the dragon?
  7. How long will she remain there?
  8. Who has prepared a place for her?
  9. How will she survive?

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
  1. What took place in heaven as recorded in verse seven?
  2. Who were the two commanders?
  3. Who won and who lost?
  4. What was the result of the battle?
  5. How is the dragon described in verse nine?
  6. Who was cast out along with the Dragon?

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”
  1. What did the loud voice in verse ten say has come? Why has it come?
  2. How is the dragon in verse 10 described? How was he overcome?
  3. What were they willing to give to remain true to the Lord?
  4. Where is there rejoicing?
  5. Where is there great woe and why?
  6. Why is the devil so angry?

13 Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. 15 So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
  1. Who was the object of the dragon’s wrath? Who was the male Child?
  2. What was the woman given to escape from the dragon?
  3. How long will she be protected and sustained?
  4. What did the dragon spew out of his mouth?
  5. Who did the dragon turn his wrath upon?
  6. How are they described?
